It’s always a concern, and this year is no different. Cubs opening day has been met with a number of weather conditions, snow, rain, a mix, 75 degrees and sunny, you name it and we’ve seen it. This year is not going to be one of those “pleasant” days in the stands for the Cubs fans that are lucky enough to have tickets for opening day.
As we are now within a typical weather predicting window of 3 days we are starting to get an idea of what we are all in store for on Thursday. Mostly cloudy, high of 50 by the lake with winds from the ENE (There’s a big body of water in that direction) at 15 mph. It’s going to be cold, very cold after a few innings, so be prepared. It’s not the worst, but it’s not too great either. Either way, go Cubs!
Opening Day morning UPDATE (Hold on to your hats, it’s windy,)
|Wind:||From NE at 21 mph|
|UV Index:||6 High|
|Sunrise:||6:26 AM CT|
|Record High:||85°F (1988)|
