August 5, 2012 – Cubs Lineup vs. Dodgers – Jackson!

Exciting and crazy morning  for the Cubs as they traded Jeff Baker to the Tigers, and called up top prospects Brett Jackson and Josh Vitters.  The result is a much different lineup today against Joe Blanton and the Dodgers.  This is something Cubs fans should be excited about as it offers up a glimpse of what the Cubs might look like when they are ready to compete, at least part of the lineup.  Here it is.

DeJesus RF
B Jackson CF
Rizzo 1B
Soriano LF
Castro SS
Castillo C
Valbuena 3B
Barney 2B
Germano P

Thanks for reading, go Cubs!

  1. Sveums an idiot with this lineup. Castro needs to lead off. Jackson 2nd or 6th, Soriano 3rd, Rizzo 4th, Vitters 5, Dejesus 6th (or 2nd), Castillo 7th, Barney 8th or Barney 7th and clevenger 8th.

Castro needs to bat 1st or 3rd. in the future I hope to see the top consist of Lake, Jackson, Castro, Rizzo and Soler. those are the studs. Speed. Power. Excitement.

    1. There are some questionable things for sure, typically your best hitter hits 3rd, hence Rizzo 3rd. Jackson is a lead-off guy, sees a ton of pitches, walks, steals bases. I think ultimately it will be

Still really early, but it’s fun to speculate for sure. Thanks for reading!!
