The Cubs hit the road after a very promising home stand where they took 2 out of 3 from both the Dodgers and Braves. The Cubs are playing well, the same can’t be said for the Brewers who are struggling with only four wins in their last ten games. The Cubs conversely have six wins in their last ten games, the trick is to duplicate that success on the road where they are a sub par 4-8. Ryan Braun is a little banged up, but his numbers suggest he’s just fine. If the Cubs want to have success in this series they will have to start with shutting down Braun and go from there. Shutting down the other team’s stars is exactly what the Cubs have done lately as they have improved their team ERA to 9th best in the National League. The Cubs should have the advantage in the pitching department as the Brewers have been bad and are threatening to claim the worst ERA in the NL shortly. Full preview/breakdown after the jump.
