Jackie Robinson Day 2012

On this day 65 years ago Jackie Robinson made his MLB debut breaking the color barrier.  Today every player in baseball will be wearing his uniform number 42 to celebrate his importance not only to the game of baseball, but for so much more.  Happy Jackie Robinson Day to all and like always Go Cubs.

April 15, 2012 – Lineups

The Cubs look to win their first series of the year this afternoon at 1:15.  Paul Maholm will head to the mound hoping to rebound from a very shaky first start and he will be opposed by Jake Westbrook who was stellar in his first outing of the year, as he went seven innings allowing zero earned runs.  The Cubs lineup will look a little different as DeJesus, Barney, Soriano, and LaHair will have the day off.  Stepping in in their absence will be Johnson, DeWitt, Baker, and Mather all hoping to impress the coaching staff and help the Cubs to a win.  It doesn’t look like the best lineup on paper, but maybe they will surprise and pull out a victory today on Jackie Robinson Day.  The game can be seen on CSN Chicago and will be broadcast on the radio on WGN 720.
