May 4 – 6; vs. Dodgers – Series Preview

Los Angeles Dodgers Logo - The Dodgers' primary logo is modified for the 2012 season, with a thicker baseball and flight lines and a slightly-altered script

This should be a fun weekend on the North Side.  The second best team in the majors (record wise) invades Wrigley to take on the Cubs in a three game set.  I’m very interested to see the Cubs compete level against this team because in my opinion this series is primed for the Cubs to surprise some people.  Slowly but surely the Cubs have been playing better baseball, and if it weren’t for Carlos Marmol they would be entering this series on a roll.  Ideally 2 out of 3 would be fantastic this weekend, but it all starts with the first one, win that game and it could be a great weekend.  Being successful starts with stopping Matt Kemp who has had an unreal start to the season.  He’s threatening the triple crown, it’s early, but anytime a player leads all three categories (AVG, HR, RBI) you have to take notice.  Go Cubs!
