The D-Cubs sloshed their way through a water-logged week of baseball by going 3-3 with a rain out. The D-Cubs have been stuck in neutral for a little while now as they have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games and currently sit in last place in the FSL North Division. One bright spot has been the play of Matt Szczur over the last 10 games. Szczur struggled mightily out of the gates but has turned it around, hitting .316 in his last 10 games with three doubles, a triple, a home run, and three stolen bases.
Another team playing well, their place in the standings and overall record might not reflect that but the Daytona Cubs are 6-4 in their last 10 games. The change in fortune for Daytona might start with Matt Szczur who has been on a steady climb after getting out of the gates slowly this year. Over his last ten games Szczur has three multi-hit games and he is hitting .286 over that span.
